It is our intention to be among the world providers of internet Arabic language tools, and to be among the leaders in Arabic indexing and search for the internet, Arabic text to speech, and bi-directional machine translation from and into Arabic. The next step we are currently pursuing is to provide innovative Arabic language technology based solutions.
All Arabs, Muslims, and all cultures using Arabic alphabet, must perform their prayer by reciting their Holly Book in Arabic alphabet, and so, they need to know more of the Arabic language and its dictionaries. We provide & outsource software Arabization technology, indexing and search engine, speech components and bi-directional translation.
Current technology offered by Millennium Inc. in partnership with NativeNames.net will allow the actual browsing and issuance of full Arabic URL through Multilingual DNS system. This technology is developed and based on coexisting with the current DNS and utilizing BIND 9.1 to be launched in phases in UAE, the Gulf Region, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Jordan and the USA.
Based on an IDC projection, the Arabic computer market will purchase over 5 million computers during the period 2000-2003. This will consist of 2.5 million for GCC Countries (Gulf Cooperation Council), 1.25 million for Egypt, 1 million for North Africa and 0.25 a million for the remaining countries. Home PC during the same period will represent 25% of the market (i.e. 1.5 million of which 650,000 for GCC, 550,000 for Egypt, 250,000 for North Africa and 125,000 for the remaining countries).
Millennium Inc. currently offers many applications in different product lines. Some are well known off-the-shelf products in; home and education, office, and others are new product lines with more corporate products namely; Text Retrieval, Electronic Publishing, the Internet, Speech and Machine Translation.
To deal with Arabic information efficiently we invested in Arabic linguistics. This field of research required extensive time due to the fact that the Arabic language lacks a lot of basic linguistic research, which has not existed for centuries. The internet for example, needs fast and precise indexing and search, which cannot be accomplished without sophisticated linguistics. The same applies for speech and machine translation.
