TRA is responsible for managing the frequency spectrum in Egypt through the central administration for frequency regulation.
The responsibilities of the department include:
Optimize the usage of the frequency spectrum in accordance with international standard
Planning the assignment of the frequency spectrum to optimize its return without violating national security
Planning for using the unused dimensions
Disseminate information concerning the frequency spectrum policy and usage
Monitor the usage of the frequency spectrum
- Egypt Numbering Plan
Telecommunications numbering plan sets out the charging districts where specific numbers are to be used and which service provider has been allocated a specific number range .There sets depend on type and region of service. A national telephone number presently consists of a maximum of 10 digits.
