| Description |
The Egyptian German Telecommunication Industries S.A.E (EGTI) is a local company, established as a joint venture between the Egyptian government and SIEMENS AG Germany in 1990 and started its activities two years later.
The company’s main activities are concentrated on production, installation, and commissioning, technical assistance and after sales services of EWSD exchanges, the best selling public digital telephone system in the world.
The need for the establishment of a company with local production facilities in the telecommunication field in Egypt was obvious. ISO 9001 certificate has been awarded to EGTI in January 1997, which is considered the highest level of total quality management and which proves the high quality of EGTI’s products and services. The company operates:
Manufacturing Center with a production volume of 600.000 ports per annum within one shift including logistics, production, quality assurance, industrial engineering and maintenance.
Sales Center for offer preparation, exchange engineering, order processing, technical sales and marketing.
Technical Support Center that provides operation and maintenance support to customers, a 24-hours– on-call service to provide quick solution for network availability and reliability as well as repair and update service that assure timely repair of defective system components.
Technical Operation Center for installation, commissioning and network integration of all ordered EWSD ports in Egypt.
Training Center certified as a regional Training Institute of SIEMENS AG for Information and Communication networks. The training volume for the year 2002 is expected to grow to 9.700 student days.
As the company strongly believes in maintaining its customer satisfied, it built up its strategy on an on-going quality system basis.
The company, therefore, was awarded ISO 9001 certificate to maintain the targeted permanent growth in product and service quality throughout its full range of activities.
