It works closely with manufacturers of Agriucultural machinery to encourage local manufacturer of needed machines. Advice and consultant services are offered to farmers, manufacturers and importers of machinery to solve their specific problems
قام المعهد بإجراء البحوث حول المشاكل الحقلية التى تعوق الميكنة ، وطور الكثير من الآلات والتقنيات التى تتناسب مع الظروف والبيئة المصرية ، كما عمل عن قرب مع مصنعى الآلات الزراعية وذلك لتشجيع التصنيع المحلى للآلات والمعدات الزراعية
ويقدم المعهد أيضا خدماته فى مجال الإرشاد والإستشارات التى تقدم للمزارعين والمصنعين ، ومستوردى الآلات الزراعية ، وذلك للتوصل إلى الحلول الخاصة بمشاكل بعض هذه الآلات

The Sultan Farm is located at 52 km from Cairo, along the desert road to Alexandria. It has a cultivable area of around 1000 Hectar , all desert land.
