The Egyptian German Telecommunication Industries S.A.E (EGTI) is a local company, established as a joint venture between the Egyptian government and SIEMENS AG Germany in 1990 and started its activities two years later.

Engineering Enterprises Company (EEC) was established in 1977 primarily as a civil contracting company. In 1982, the steel structure division joined EEC activities.
